British Council
British Council established a presence in Korea 45 years ago in August 1973. Our cultural relations work has over the years brought Korea and the UK closer to each other through partnerships in English, the arts, education and society.
British Council’s arts project from 2018 to 2020 has two main focuses, ‘inclusion’ and ‘innovation’. It is to contribute to make art sector more inclusive by embracing older
and disabled people who traditionally have less access to arts. Also, it aims to create new opportunities for enhancing artistic expression and artistic experience by using new technologies.
Through showcase, workshop, seminar and collaborative projects, we will deepen our sharing of knowledge, practices and ideas in the two key areas and create spaces where artists and art professionals from the UK and Korea can work together.
PROGRAM INFORMATION
We introduce 4 Japanese performing arts artists/producers whose works and activities have been paid special attention to. We hope this will be a great opportunity for you to meet and talk with them, leading up to a future collaboration/partnership.
