Program Information

Capitalist society where economic power has been highly advanced. The logic of power hidden behind the development of civilization. The personal life that is helpless in front of structured violence. It is a story of a man and a woman living with fear in the society characterized by infinite competition and dominated by patriarchal culture.

About Performance

Adam Smith emphasizes free competition for the wealth of the nation, and the 18th century European country is revolutionized by citizens who cry for “pang (bread)" and "freedom."

In fairy tales, women are princesses and men are white horse princes, but in reality, they are not; men must endure a lot of violence amid the social demand that men should be men and women should be women. In modern society, developed from revolutions and war, a man and a woman dream of a world without competition. Why was Marie Antoinette branded as a luxurious and disorganized woman? Just because she is a woman?

〈Adam's Miss〉 is a feminist play focused on "violence triggered by economic power" and looks at issues such as gender consciousness and equality. We hope that everyone, both young and old, will be able to criticize the structure of modern society and the value of human life freely and rationally.

Creator / Artist

Would You Mind Project is a ‘Talkative visual theatre’ that aims at the unconventional theatre. Two actors expand the image of space through texts, sounds, and movements. They focus on current issues arising from the link between ‘social structure’ and 'individual,' and create documentary plays based on self-narratives.

Without the help of illumination created by lighting or stage devices, we tell stories closer to our real world in more direct and pleasant plays. Rather than talking about something massive, we want to communicate with the audience agilely with small but delicate stories.
